CALL WAITING
Whether you are in a church, in a home group or feel disconnected and isolated in this season of your life, if you are a disciple of God, you have been called and are a vital part of the Body of Christ. Your voice needs to be heard. There is only so much you can do from a pew, a prayer closet or the privacy of your home. Jesus has called you to be a harvester among the lost, to join with others and take a stand against the powers of darkness, and to be the voice of another calling out in America’s moral wilderness.
In the Book of Proverbs it says “Without a vision the people perish.”
How’s your spiritual eyesight? Do you have your bearings?
If you pursue God with a willing heart, he will use the things revealed on these pages to help give you direction and confidence. God wants you to be ready. He wants you to walk in his power. He wants you to bring the word of God and his gift of salvation to your family, to your neighborhood and to your friends and coworkers. You are already standing in the center of your mission field—it’s all the people your life touches. And they are looking everywhere for answers and comfort in these turbulent times. You have both.
This blog will help prepare you with fresh insight into how God's word touches your life. Hopefully, it will also guide you through this time of transition into a more proactive ministry and will encourage you to step out in faith and be heard. You’re probably more ready than you know. Too often believers look for a position in ministry or for a title to bestow authority on them before they feel released to do anything on God’s behalf. True authority, however, comes directly from the Lord. So does real ministry. It is given without fanfare or recognition. And it comes with God’s anointing to serve him as he sees fit. It is a mantle that’s uniquely yours which will lead you to people only you can reach and into places where others don’t have access.
The time has come to answer the call and to embrace your ministry. The time has come to step out with expectancy and confidence and with the knowledge that God goes before you. The time has come to stop looking to others to tell you what you are in the church, and instead, to look to God to see who you are in Christ Jesus.
The time has come because time is running out for those around you. And because if you don’t answer the call, someone else will.
